Draft pending final review.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of our website at baylifeh2o.com (the "Site") and to the free water test, quotes and text message program offered by Baylife Water Filtration Solutions ("we", "us" or "our"). By using the Site or submitting a form on it, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information and is part of these Terms.
About Us
Baylife Water Filtration Solutions tests water and sells and arranges the installation of water treatment equipment, such as water softeners and filtration systems, for homes in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties, Florida.
We are an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any city, county, utility or government agency.
Using the Site
You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Submit false information or someone else's contact details without their permission
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
- Try to disrupt the Site, get around its security, or access systems or data you aren't authorized to access
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy or submit forms on the Site
- Copy, reproduce or reuse the Site's content, logos or design without our written permission
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos and our business name, belongs to us or our licensors.
Information on the Site
We work to keep the Site accurate, but it is provided for general information only.
- Water quality information. Hardness levels and other water quality figures on the Site come from public utility reports or published estimates, and we name the source where we show them. Water quality changes over time and from home to home, so your results may differ. This information is not a substitute for testing your own water.
- No health advice. Nothing on the Site is medical or health advice.
- Images. Some images on the Site are illustrations, including images created with AI tools. Unless a caption says otherwise, they do not show our customers, their homes, or installations we have done.
- Links. The Site may link to other websites, such as utility reports. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content.
Free Water Test
- It's free and there's no obligation. Our in-home water test costs nothing, and you don't have to buy anything.
- What it is. The test is an in-home screening that measures things like hardness, total dissolved solids and chlorine so we can recommend equipment. It is not a certified laboratory test and does not determine whether your water is safe to drink.
- Well water. Bacteria, nitrate and some other contaminants can only be measured by a certified laboratory. If you have a private well, we can point you to a certified lab.
- Scheduling. You can reschedule or cancel your test at any time by contacting us.
Quotes, Estimates and Pricing
- Prices on the Site. Any prices shown on the Site are sample prices or starting estimates to help you plan. They are not offers. The actual price for your home depends on your water test results, the equipment you choose, your plumbing, and the installation work needed.
- Quotes. After your water test, we give you a written quote. You are never obligated to accept it. Each quote states how long its price is good for, and during that time we will honor the quoted price for the equipment and work it describes. A quote is not a contract. You and we are bound only once we both sign a written contract.
- No surprise charges. If we or the installer find work the quote didn't cover (for example, plumbing that has to be brought up to code), we will explain it and get your written approval before doing any extra work at an extra cost.
- Your contract controls. The written contract you sign will set out the equipment, price, payment terms, installation details, warranty and cancellation rights. If anything in these Terms conflicts with your signed contract, the contract controls, except that your contract will never give you less than the cancellation right described below.
- Taxes and permits. Your quote and contract will state whether sales tax and any permit fees are included.
Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel any purchase agreement you sign with us, without any penalty or obligation, until midnight of the third business day after the day you sign it. A business day is any day except Sunday and federal holidays. We give this right on every sale, wherever you sign. For sales made in your home, it is also your right under the Federal Trade Commission's Cooling-Off Rule (16 CFR Part 429) and, where it applies, Florida's home solicitation sale law (Florida Statutes sections 501.021 to 501.055).
Your contract will include a notice of your right to cancel and a Notice of Cancellation form that explains how to cancel. You can cancel by signing and sending that form, or any other written notice saying you don't want to go through with the purchase, to the address in your contract, or by emailing us at hello@baylifeh2o.com. If you cancel in time, we will refund all of your payments within 10 days after we receive your notice. If any equipment was already delivered, we will arrange to pick it up at our expense. Nothing in these Terms reduces any longer cancellation right the law gives you.
Installation
Installations are performed by an independent, Florida-licensed plumbing contractor that we hire. The installer is responsible for the plumbing work and for obtaining any permits it requires. Your contract will identify the installer. Please give the installer safe access to the installation area on the scheduled day.
Warranties
Equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and any workmanship warranty will be described in your written contract. Except for those written warranties and any warranties that cannot be excluded under the law, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baylife Water Filtration Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or its content. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site will not exceed $100. This section applies to your use of the Site. Your rights related to equipment you buy and work we perform are set out in your written contract and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under laws that cannot be waived, including Florida consumer protection laws.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, if you misuse the Site or break these Terms, you agree to be responsible for the claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorney's fees) that result.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes apply from that date and do not change any contract you have already signed with us.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless the law requires otherwise.
General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written contract you sign with us, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
