Water passes through pre-filter stages
Sediment and carbon pre-filters remove larger particles before water reaches the RO membrane.

A semi-permeable membrane blocks dissolved solids and many contaminants, sending them to a drain line.

Common questions
Does RO remove PFAS?
Certified RO systems can reduce PFAS, but the specific claim depends on which tier the certified model carries — a legacy PFOA/PFOS-only claim, or the newer claim covering seven PFAS compounds. We'll confirm and name the exact tier for your equipment before you buy.
Does RO remove fluoride?
Florida stopped adding fluoride to public water in July 2025, so this isn't a reason to choose RO here. It's better suited to taste, dissolved solids, and certified contaminant reduction.
How much water does it waste?
RO systems use some extra water to flush the membrane. We can talk through efficient models at your free test if that's a concern.
