Common questions
Why doesn't my refrigerator or pitcher filter fix the chloramine smell?
Most small filters are certified for chlorine, not chloramine, which most Tampa Bay utilities use (Hernando County, Brooksville, Plant City, Oldsmar, Dunedin and Tarpon Springs use chlorine instead). Whole-home catalytic carbon is built specifically for chloramine.
Will this soften my water too?
No. Filtration handles taste, smell, and some sediment. If hardness is also a problem, we'll recommend pairing it with a softener or conditioner.
Does this affect my water pressure?
A properly sized system shouldn't cause a noticeable drop. We size the filter to your home's water use during the free test.
