How hard is the water in Tampa Bay?
City of Tampa water averaged 12.3 grains per gallon in 2025 (very hard), Pinellas County reports about 10–14 gpg, and St. Petersburg about 9.2 gpg. Use the checker above to see your area, and we'll measure your exact number at the test.
Is my tap water unsafe?
Tampa Bay's public utilities treat and test their water and publish the results every year in a water quality report. Hard water and chloramine are mostly about scale, taste, smell and how your fixtures and appliances hold up. We won't use scare tactics, and we're happy to walk through your utility's report with you.
Who installs the system?
Installs are performed by a licensed plumbing subcontractor, who also pulls any permits your city or county requires.
Do you work with well water?
Yes. Well water often needs iron or sulfur treatment, so we quote those systems after testing. For bacteria and nitrates, we'll recommend a certified lab test.
Do I have to decide on the spot?
Never. You get a written quote to keep, and the price in it doesn't change based on how fast you decide.
