Water flows past a UV lamp
As water passes through a clear chamber, UV light disrupts the DNA of bacteria and viruses so they can't reproduce.

Sediment, iron, or sulfur filters upstream keep the water clear enough for UV light to reach every drop.

The lamp gets checked yearly
UV bulbs lose effectiveness over time, so we set a replacement reminder as part of your annual service.

Common questions
Does UV replace a bacteria test?
No. A certified lab test is the only way to confirm bacteria or nitrates in well water. UV is a disinfection step, not a test, and not a substitute for one.
Do I need pre-filtration with UV?
Usually, yes. Sediment, iron, or sulfur in the water can block UV light from reaching bacteria, so we typically pair UV with a pre-filter.
How often does the UV bulb need to be replaced?
Most bulbs are rated for about a year of use. We'll set a reminder as part of your annual service and retest.
